What we do
Prestige Poly is a specialist preparation and polyurethane spray-finishing business. We provide surface preparation and spray-applied polyurethane finishes for cabinetry, wardrobe components, kitchen components, furniture and custom joinery.
Our work is carried out at our workshop near Bankstown. Items are brought to us for finishing and returned to the client or their installer. We do not carry out on-site finishing or installation.
We work with trade clients including cabinet makers, builders and joiners, as well as homeowners who are renovating or replacing cabinetry and joinery components. Workshop visits are by appointment only.

Why preparation matters
The quality of a polyurethane finish depends heavily on what happens before the topcoat is applied. A coating applied over a poorly prepared surface will not adhere correctly, may show surface defects through the finish, and is more likely to fail prematurely.
Proper preparation involves cleaning the substrate, sanding to the correct profile, addressing any surface defects, and applying appropriate primers and undercoats. Each step builds on the last. Skipping or rushing any part of the preparation process creates problems that cannot be corrected by the topcoat alone.
This is why we treat preparation as a core part of the service, not a preliminary step. The time spent on preparation is what allows the topcoat to perform as it should.
